Women's Ministries
.
The focus of a Women's Ministry is life-changing discipleship that leads women into a life that reflects Christ… through their thoughts, words, and actions. Responding not only to the needs of women but desiring also to utilize the spiritual gifts of Christian women, we hope to encourage women in spiritual growth, discipleship, evangelism, missions, and prayer.  For more information, please contact Evy Aylesworth at (218)-751-6804.

2010 Women's Retreat

When:  October 29 - 31
Where: Cragun's Resort in Brainerd
Speaker: Elizabeth Talbot
Theme: A Princess of Worth

From earliest childhood, Elizabeth Talbot loved Jesus. Born to missionary parents in Argentina who instilled this love for Jesus in her, Elizabeth would often line up a captive audience of her dolls and teach and preach to them from a very early age. Little did she know that would be good practice for what God had planned for her to do in the future. Although her college degree was in music education, Elizabeth spent many years in the business world as an accountant and manager. During this time, she not only earned a Master’s degree in corporate psychology, she also volunteered for approximately fifteen years as a part-time youth pastor.

However, God had other plans for her and she was eventually invited to become a full-time pastor for the Seventh-day Adventist church. She began her ministry as a young adults/young families pastor and evangelist while earning her Master’s degree in Biblical studies at Azusa Pacific University. She greatly enjoys evangelism and is continually seeking for creative ways to reach people for Jesus, which has included doing podcasting and webcasting for several years.

Most recently, Elizabeth was the senior pastor of the Grace Place in Alhambra. She is also an adjunct Biblical Studies Professor for the Haggard Graduate School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University. Also, Elizabeth is presently a Ph.D. candidate in Biblical studies at the University of Gloucestershire, UK.

While also traveling throughout the United States and internationally as a lecturer and revival/motivational speaker, Elizabeth is now the new co-host for the Voice of Prophecy “Daily Voice” broadcast. The VOP website will allow you to download podcasts of her program and listen live to streaming radio. The website will also help you find radio stations and their schedules and much more. In addition, Elizabeth is regularly featured on the Hope Channel and the Loma Linda Broadcasting Network. Elizabeth recently authored “Matthew: Prophecy Fulfilled” which is featured as one of the sharing booklets of this year published by Pacific Press Publishing Association.

Elizabeth is married to Patrick Talbot, a Marriage and Family Therapist. Elizabeth’s main identity is her passion about the Good News of Jesus Christ: “It’s like fire in my bones” she says, and she means it!.

February 2009

Bemidji’s Women’s Ministries gathered recently for an evening of fellowship together and  assembled care packages; each containing a bottle of water, snacks and a notepad.  Each bag was decorated with words such as Faith, Hope, Love, Believe and Be Blessed! They were delivered to the Critical Care Unit of North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji to be given out to patient family members. The staff was very happy to receive these love gifts to share with others.
